Living Near the Narmada

A Space to Stay, Build, and Be

Around Osho Home Ashram, on the banks of the Narmada, a small and unique living space is gradually taking shape.

This is not a commercial project.
It is a natural extension of a meditation environment.

Some people who come for retreats feel the wish to stay longer — or to create a simple space of their own nearby.

Why This Place

The Narmada landscape carries a natural atmosphere of energy & depth.

The river, the marble rocks, and the surrounding nature create a space where meditation does not need to be practiced — it begins on its own.

Around Osho Home Ashram, a quiet vision is taking shape — the possibility of an “Osho Village.”

Not as a planned development, but as a natural coming together of like-minded people from different parts of the world — some living here more permanently, others returning regularly, staying at the ashram or in their own spaces nearby.

The intention is to create a space where meditation is not separate from life, but part of daily living.

A Rare Landscape

The area of Bhedaghat carries a unique presence. Many have experienced it as a naturally silent and charged space, where meditation happens effortlessly.

Close to the ashram stands the ancient Chausath Yogini Temple, a circular temple dedicated to the 64 yoginis. It is a space of meditation rather than worship, open to the sky and shaped for inner work.

Tradition holds that Gorakhnath meditated in this region, leaving a strong imprint of yogic presence.

Along the banks of the Narmada, many seekers have passed — including Guru Nanak and Kabir — both of whom spent time in contemplation near this river.
