Since the middle of march we are in Lockdown in Jabalpur. The government aloud the public to leave their houses for a limited time slot for grocery shopping in the morning and the evening. In our house we felt safe. We spent the time with meditation, music and the regular house holding.

The musicians of Jabalpur were missing out on their busiest season and only God knows when it will be possible for them to perform again. They made a living performing at weddings and parties. Swami Shrila Prem Paras felt, that we should take care of the people who are connected to us. He started his journey as a guitarist in the orchestras of Jabalpur, then went to Mumbai where he rose among the stars of the industry to a music composer. He always says "Creativity is God- if you serve artists you do a divine service."

In the end of march he received information of a dozen artists in Jabalpur who are in need. Few days later the number rose to 40.

Although there is Lockdown he managed to buy big quantities of daal (lentils), rice, salt, sugar, tea, oil and spices. we spread a sheet on the floor of our living room and borrowed the scales of the shopkeeper in our street. Plastic bags were ready to fill in rice and lentils. All family members including the littles ones involved in packing the groceries.

Then Grocery bags were filled with enough rice, lentils, oil, sugar, salt, soap, detergent, detergent for clothes, masala, coriander, cumin and tea for one month. Swamiji created a Whatsapp group where all artists in need registered and got informed.

The next morning at 9 a.m. we were ready. Some musicians appeared hesitantly in front of the gate of our house. The corona pandemic has spread a mood of fear among the people. The first musicians were registered and received their grocery bags. Gratitude was there - on both sides. little by little many artists and musicians gathered in front of our house. Our purchases were not quite enough - we bought goods from the shop in our street and gave the food out of our kitchen. In the end, almost 100 musicians were served. We had a feeling of deep satisfaction. The hands ached from packing and carrying groceries, but the heart kept getting bigger and bigger ..
